Jean-Pierre Flais was appointed Head of Banking and Conduct of Kleinwort Hambros (KH) following the legal merger between SGPB Hambros and Kleinwort Benson in November 2017.

He is in charge of coordinating and monitoring all aspects of the banking and credit services product line (commercial, risk, end to end delivery, etc…). As Head of Conduct, he is overseeing the KH corporate conduct programme and is also sponsoring some key transversal projects.

Jean-Pierre has been working for Société Générale since 1987 and has been living in the UK for the last 20 years. He joined SGPB Hambros in 1998 and was deputy CEO from 2007 to 2012. He then became global COO for Société Générale Private Banking business line and was appointed Chief Administration Officer of Kleinwort Benson following its acquisition by Société Générale in June 2016.

Jean-Pierre graduated from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Paris and also studied in New York and Germany. He likes watching a variety of sports (including football, tennis, rugby and cricket) and enjoys travelling. He is very interested in modern history and international relations.
