Gene Salerno

Gene Salerno is Chief Investment Officer at SG Kleinwort Hambros. He is responsible for driving investment strategy, implementation, and performance for its clients. He is also a member of the SG Private Banking Global Investment Committee.

Most recently, Gene has been supporting the Executive Committee to shape the business strategy and sponsor targeted change initiatives for improving client experiences and outcomes. In 2016, Gene headed Investment Strategy for Kleinwort Hambros, and in 2018 was selected for Societe Generale’s internal entrepreneurship programme, where he developed an innovative capability for exploring investment solutions with clients.

Before joining Kleinwort Benson as Head of Asset Allocation and Equities in 2011, Gene led investment management for a substantial private European investment office, investing across traditional and alternative asset classes while also supporting private equity and real estate transactions.

Earlier in his career he worked as a software engineer focused on missile defense systems at Raytheon. Gene has an MBA from London Business School and a BSc in Computer Science from Binghamton University, New York.
